BIOGRAPHY

Leonid Zikeev was born in 1944 in USSR. He arrived in Israel in March 1991.

From 1959 to 1963 he studied at the Kursk College of Arts.

From 1963 to 1969 he studied at the Leningrad Academy of Arts, Faculty of Painting, in the studio of Professor Serebryany. At the same time he studied Graphics and Moral Painting.

He also had exhibitions abroad in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland, Canada, USA

Spain, Brazil, Yugoslavia and many other countries His work is displayed in many private collections all over the world.

Leonid Zikeev started exhibitions his works in 1970. He participated in many exhibitions in the USSR including republics and National exhibitions.

Zikeev created a large collection of etchings dedicated to places where Dostoevsky lived, and in 1985 had a personal exhibition in the “Dostoevsky Museum”.

Leonid Zikeev trained himself in painting, etching (steel, zinc, and copper), lithography, linocut, monotype, and water color in the applied arts.

Leonid Zikeev is member of the “Israel Painters and Sculptors Association”.
