Artist's Statement

As a painter my main focus is the figurative and realistic, using natural and symbolic elements. Central to my personal ideology is the holistic structure of all aspects of our world. Portraits, landscapes and printing techniques are my vehicle to reflect a perspective on these relationships.
Using oil, water and acrylic colors in unique technique enable me to represent my local being, ranging from the pastels of the Russian scenery to the bright and powerful tinges of Safed artist colony where I live today.
Teaching printing arts (etching lithography etc.) at the college of art at Nazareth, and special summer courses to teachers of art at my gallery in Safed, enable me to inherit my expertise to future generations.
Besides painting I enjoy creating jewelry made of gold, silver and precious stones that gives me the opportunity to show my love for the woman in my life.
